Established in1996 as an independent consulting company targeted at maritime and offshore fields, OPENSEAS started as an idea of three naval architects. Together they saw a business opportunity in a growing market that was looking for independent quality services.

Since her first days OPENSEAS focused on offering high quality services with individualized solutions, thus helping clients to solve problems and manage safety and environmental policies.

In 2000, as the oil and gas industry started its rapid growth in Brazil, mainly in Campos Basin, OPENSEAS expanded its consulting services and in 2002 added certification to its services portfolio.

Experience acquired in these 24 years comes together with the continuous search for quality, rewarded in 2010 with the first ISO 9001:2008 certification by BSI – British Standard Institute and continues now updated to ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Today OPENSEAS is an active company in the Maritime and Offshore market diverse fields, providing certification and consulting services that aggregate qualified professional with corporate expertise and experience.
